REGISTRATION & FESTIVAL SITE

The Women's Bouldering Festival is based at Camping Les Prés in Grez-sur-Loing.

The exact address & contact info for the camping can be found here.

The Festival registration will open at 15:00h on Friday, 27 September. You will find our registration desk in front of the camping's reception. Please head first to the reception (two nights of camping are included in your Pass but you still need to report your arrival at the camping reception), then to our registration desk.

Please note that if you arrive past 22:00h, you will not be able to bring your vehicle into the campground. You can sleep in your van in the parking in front of the gates, or leave your car there & carry your tent to the campground.

The Festival registration will close at 23:00h.

If you arrive past 23:00h, please make sure to find a member of our volunteer staff on Saturday morning

to report your arrival.

At the Festival registration desk you will be given a detailed plan for the weekend, including a timesheet, your Mentors' names & more. We will also have a little goodie bag for you :)

GETTING THERE & AROUND

Travelling around the Fontainebleau Forest is quite tricky without a car. (Possible but not recommended.)

We recommend having your own or rented vehicle & sharing it with other Participants. If you're flying or taking the train, you can rent a car in Paris, Fontainebleau, or Melun. Please arrange your rental in advance.

During the Festival, you will need to drive between the camping and climbing locations as the Fontainebleau Forest is very spread out. You will be provided with exact meeting points & times at the registration desk.

We will also send you a detailed schedule with GPS coordinates via email a few days in advance but at the moment we're still waiting on venue confirmations from the National Forestry Office.

Expect the walk-ins  to take anything between 5 and 25 minutes, so bring comfortable footwear, clothing & a practical day pack/bag.

SHOPPING & FOOD

The nearest grocery (small) is located a walking distance from the camping in the village of Grez-sur-Loing. It is closed on Sundays but there's a bakery & a restaurant which remain open.

A bigger shop, 8 A Huit, is accessible by a 9 minute car drive.

(The address is 14 Rue Murger, 77780 Bourron-Marlotte.)

Light refreshments are included in your Festival Pass. (Friday beers, Saturday coffee, Sunday snack) but please make sure to bring enough food & water to sustain you throughout the weekend.

Drinking water is available at the camping.

The nearest outdoor stores are S'cape & Decathlon. Popular gas bottles are available to purchase at the camping reception.

OUR INDOOR VENUE

Our indoor venue is located at 53 Rue d'Hulay in Grez-sur-Loing (a 12 minute walk from the camping).

This is where ClimbFrow Yoga, Saturday evening talks & Sunday social will take place. In case of rain, we will also offer supplementary activities here.

WHAT TO BRING

Your camping set up can be as minimal or as luxurious as you like.

A "regular" basic set up includes: a tent, a sleeping mat, a warm sleeping bag, a stove.

For climbing, you will need climbing shoes, a chalk bag, a brush to clean the holds, a small towel/cloth to clean sand of your shoes. It's good if you can bring one or more of your own bouldering pads. Alternatively, you can book a Padadise rental pad on our Eventbrite page (donation based).

Other things you might want to bring are: a warm jacket, layers, waterproofs, a head torch, a first aid kit. Although the Fontainebleau Forest is a fairly tame environment, remember  that bouldering is an outdoor adventure & make yourself well prepared :)
